If applicable, CONTRACTOR shall pay prevailing wages to those workers employed on public works contracts performing applicable duties as required by the State Labor Code and City Code 3.60.180. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for any future adjustments to prevailing wage rates including, but not limited to, base hourly rates and employer payments as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations.
Time is of the Essence / Strict Completion Deadline

Time is of the essence in the performance of this Contract. CONTRACTOR shall devote the necessary time and effort to its performance under this Contract.
Audit & Records-Retention Rights

CONSULTANT, subconsultants, and LOCAL AGENCY shall maintain and make available for inspection all books, documents, papers, accounting records, and other evidence pertaining to the performance of the contract...for three years from the date of final payment under the contract. The state, State Auditor, LOCAL AGENCY, FHWA, or any duly authorized representative of the Federal Government shall have access to any books, records, and documents.
