The City of Sacramento is seeking an on-call masonry wall repair contractor to provide emergency and routine repair services for damaged masonry walls within city limits. The work is non-professional services (repair/maintenance) on a commercial basis for a municipal client. The contract runs from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, with optional two-year extensions through June 30, 2020. Services include emergency response to secure damaged walls, temporary safety measures, and permanent repair work. The administrative penalty for each violation of any provision of this chapter shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). Violations of a specific section of this chapter by the same person occurring during the same work but located in different blocks or located in the same block but occurring on different days or at different times on the same day shall constitute separate violations for which separate administrative penalty orders may be issued. ... Per the State's Porter Cologne Water Quality Act, the Contractor shall also be subject to inspection by Staff from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board who have the authority to issue Notices of Violation (NOVs) and Penalties of up to $10,000 per day for non-compliance.
