Matsui Park Hanami Line

This is a geotechnical investigation report (not an RFP) prepared by Geocon Consultants, Inc. for the City of Sacramento regarding the Robert T. Matsui Waterfront Park Renovation project located at 450 Jibboom Street in Sacramento, California. The report documents subsurface soil conditions, groundwater, seismic hazards (including liquefaction potential), and provides geotechnical recommendations for the proposed park improvements, which include new concrete sidewalks, stairs, enhanced landscaping, cast-in-place concrete retaining walls (1–14 feet high), and segmental block retaining walls (up to 18 inches high). The investigation consisted of three exploratory borings to depths of 10–12 feet, laboratory testing, and analysis in accordance with the 2016 California Building Code and ASCE 7-10 seismic design standards.
