The City of Sacramento is seeking a contractor to perform base repair work by cold planing at various locations throughout the city. This is a nonprofessional services contract for removal of unstable asphalt to a maximum depth of 5 inches at an estimated 50 locations, with work lasting at least 30 days or not exceeding 200 hours. Contractor shall not receive compensation for transportation between job sites. Contractor shall not receive compensation for mobilization, demobilization or transportation of equipment. Contractor shall not receive compensation when equipment is down for repairs, or waiting for the replacement equipment.

The Contractor for this work will be used on an on-call basis to perform work throughout the year with an average of one or two (1-2) days of work per call. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards in order to provide for multiple sources, to ensure continuity of supply if meeting the City's requirements within an acceptable time period may exceed the capacity or capability of the primary contractor.

Termination for Convenience

The City shall have the right to terminate at any time any contract awarded pursuant to a bid that contains false information. This contract will terminate without penalty at the end of the fiscal year in the event funds are not appropriated for the succeeding fiscal year.
